| About the FantaSea Fest 2 Cruise |
What is Fantasy Fest and why do we plan cruise tours to the event? That's easy. Fantasy Fest is an annual 10-day, Mardi Gras-esque, celebration and body painting extravaganza in Key West, Florida. Held each year around Halloween, Fantasy Fest has been rocking Key West since 1979 drawing a crowd of 70,000 each year to the tiny, southernmost town. Our first FantaSea Fest Cruise in 2009 on the Carnival Miracle was such a success, my sides actually ached from cheers and laughter at the end of the 8-day trip which stopped at Key West for two nights of revelry. We actually knew before it was over that we had to do it again. This years Fantasy Fest theme is Aquatic Afrolic which brings to mind mermaids, angel fish, Neptune and Nemo! We're even more excited this year because Bare Necessities, a silver sponsor of the festival since 2008 will be in the big parade on Saturday evening with our own float. It's a sure bet we will leave the knowledge of our company behind in everyone's mind and garner more interest in clothes-free cruising. As revelers stare longingly from the streets of Key West as they are being swept after Saturday's parade, our ship will sail off for another sun filled, clothes-free, fun filled port of call where the celebration continues with more paint, parties and pageantry as well as a Halloween Masquerade Ball that is guaranteed to rock the boat!
From the famed People's Parade on Friday afternoon to the grand parade on Saturday evening, we have a fabulous front row seat to all the action and fun from our private dockside spot located in the Westin Resort which is a short, three minute walk to Duval street. To see what you can expect at Fantasy Fest and, on our FantaSea Fest II Cruise, be sure to see our electonic gallery just below to look at photos, watch videos or visit the Offical Fantasy Fest page.
If you are not booked onboard with us yet, there is still time to get in on all the fun and begin planning your costumes, book a body painter and count yourself in on all the fun of this 8-day sailing. With remaining cabin prices beginning at $849* per person, it is by far the most economical way to see the best of Fantasy Fest in Key West, where a hotel room can set you back as much as $500.00 a night with a 5- 7 night minimum stay requirement. And the nearly 2,100 people who joined us in 2009 will attest to the fact that our FantaSea Fest II cruise is the best way to participate in all of Key West's madcap madness plus enjoy two other Caribbean ports of call and four fun, clothes-free days at sea on the best ship to host such an event, the Carnival Miracle. Clothes-freedom never looked so good.
Now there is an alternate way to cruise stateroom availability on this fabulous trip: from the comfort of your armchair. Visit our on-line reservation service to book your cabin now. |
