THE BIG NUDE BOAT

The Big Nude BoatThere’s a line from the movie “Jaws” when the character played by Roy Scheider sees the great white shark for the first time and turns to his ship mates and says, “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”. We at Bare Necessities find ourselves in the same position and we couldn’t be more delighted that a larger ship is needed to accommodate the growing demand for our clothes-free vacations - not due to a great white shark!
Almost every year since 1992 we have stepped up to a larger ship to serve our midwinter clothes-free cruise passengers.  Last year's 20th Anniversary sailing to Hawaii sold out a year before sailing and this year's Century sailing was also a complete sell out well before we set sail.  We are delighted that even in the midst of our country’s challenging economic times that our clothes-free cruisers continue taking off with us on our large ship offerings as well as our small ship sailings – in record numbers each passing year – recession or no recession!
We understand that “bigger is not always better” but in our case we are graduating up to the highest-class ship that Carnival has to offer. We knew we could not go wrong.  And the name of the ship?  The Freedom!  A name that suits our style so perfectly.  From zany costume balls, Las Vegas style shows, fun theme nights and the luxury of deciding what NOT to wear, on February 9, 2013, along with you, we will christen her the “MV Clothes Freedom” as we set sail for the Panama Canal on an eight-day clothing free adventure – the largest in our history…in ANYBODY’S history!
So pick up your phone, power up your computer (yes, you can actually book on line now) and make your reservation to join us for the largest floating clothes-free extravaganza the world has ever seen!

Naturally Yours,
The Staff At Bare Necessities Tour & Travel

Ports of Call

Where to? 3,000 of us will begin our adventure with a first day at sea. It’s the perfect way to start a cruise, in our humble opinion. Time to get oriented with the ship, find old friends and meet new ones with a lazy, crazy, fun day at sea.
First stop?  Cozumel, Mexico ---from the Hard Rock Café to Senior Frogs, scuba diving and world class duty-free shopping, Cozumel is the perfect first port of call. Here we will also have our own nude beach at the tropical Passion Island. Back on board for happy hour at 5 PM, we look forward to another fun day at sea to rest up, be pampered in the spa, take a class or lecture, attend an art auction or simply hang out at the pool with your umbrella drink!
Rain forests, incredible flora and fauna and the worlds most beautiful butterflies can be found when we stop next in Limon, Costa Rica. A full day here will afford us the opportunity to hike in the rain forest, try a zip line through a canopy of three tops in the jungle or perhaps you’ll be off to a coffee plantation, museum or take the day on your own in the city. Whatever you choose, Limon is a fabulous place to kick back and drink in the beauty of the country and its’ people.
Big Nude Boat Hot Tubbin'     The prize is within reach as we sail into Colon, Panama during the early hours of day 5. Since the Carnival Clothes-Freedom is a few tons over weight, we will not enter the canal on her but tours to it and into the first lock will be available as well as tours to the San Blas Islands, a visit to a tribal village for some body painting, or rafting through a bit of the canal itself. Whatever you decide to do on our day in Panama will be an adventure to check off the old bucket list.
After all this adventure, we are all going to need and deserve a couple more days at sea to relax, renew and reunite with friends around the pool, in the casino or at the spa. Perhaps a little last minute shopping on board is in order or that special class or seminar you want attend. Two fun filled days at sea await us.  So there is no need to rush or worry because there will be time to do it all – naturally of course!
So that’s it. 8-days of Clothes-free cruising on the Carnival Freedom. Toss in a couple of fun theme nights, a masquerade ball and Valentine’s Evening on board with that special someone…it is a trip of a lifetime.
